As the largest unified bar in the United States, the D.C. Bar partners with many local organizations, including the D.C. Courts, D.C. Bar Foundation, legal services providers, voluntary bars, and law schools, to stay in tune with the community. The Voluntary Bar Leadership Group is composed of the leaders of local, voluntary bar associations as well as law school student liaisons. The group meets monthly to discuss local issues of interest, including developments in the local courts, activities of the voluntary bars, and actions of the D.C. Bar's Board of Governors. The Voluntary Bar Leadership Group provides a forum for the D.C. Bar, local voluntary bars, and law school student liaisons, to network and share information. The Bar encourages the formation and activities of volunteer bar associations. Learn more about each of these Bars below.
