Megan Grindstaff

Megan Grindstaff is an Eviction Defense Staff Attorney with the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center.  In this role, she defends tenants in eviction matters, assists pro se litigants with their housing cases, and supervises volunteer attorneys at the Landlord Tenant Resource Center at D.C. Superior Court.

Prior to joining the Pro Bono Center, Megan clerked for the Honorable Julie H. Becker in D.C. Superior Court, where she worked on family court and criminal division calendars.

Megan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Baylor University with minors in Philosophy and French. She earned her Juris Doctor from George Washington University Law School in 2019. During law school, Megan represented clients as a student-attorney with G.W.’s Prisoner & Reentry Clinic and Rising For Justice. Her scholarly note on the predatory nature of privatized misdemeanor probation monitoring was published in the American Bar Association’s Public Contract Law Journal. She received G.W.’s Pro Bono Service Award for Outstanding Work in the Public Interest.
