Jenadee Nanini

Jenadee Nanini is Managing Attorney of Family Law and Immigration with the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center. She serves as the Attorney of the Day for the Family Law Assistance Network (FLAN), mentors pro bono attorneys through our Advocacy & Justice Clinic, and develops and leads family law trainings.

Prior to joining the Pro Bono Center, Jenadee worked as a Senior Associate at the DC Affordable Law Firm (DCALF), a nonprofit providing low bono and pro bono services in the District of Columbia. Before that role, she was a fellow at DCALF. She served clients in immigration, family, and probate law cases, served as a Guardian ad Litem, and trained incoming fellows. During law school, she interned at the NAACP, the White House under President Obama, and represented juveniles in criminal cases through the Juvenile Justice Clinic. Prior to law school, she taught middle and high school math through Teach for America in West Dallas, Texas. After her two-year term with Teach for America, she served as the Math Department Chair at Pinkston High School and taught algebra II in West Dallas, Texas. She also mentored and coached several sports in the community during these three years.

Jenadee holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, with a third major in Philosophy, from Washington State University – Honors College. She also holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Civil Justice from Georgetown University Law Center and a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center.

Jenadee is a member of the District of Columbia Bar. She also is a member of the Native American Bar Association, Washington Council of Lawyers, and the American Bar Association. She serves as the Vice President of the D.C. Bar Diversity and Inclusion Committee.
